More Milestones

Southern Charter joined the FSHub world in December 2021, and in the subsequent 3 years have turned over 10,000 flights, 7,000 hours, and over 3 million miles.  This is a pretty amazing achievement for our relatively small airline, and a credit to the dedication and hard work of all of our pilots.

More Charter Operations

Thanks to the great work of Jacob we now have a far bigger range of charters available for pilots. These charters cover a great range of mission types, from medical transfers to moving jets around for maintenance.

Each of these charters have their own back story, which adds a whole new dimension to these flights.  Check this example of a charter being flown as I write this:

Charters now have a great story, with some randomness to keep them fresh!   Jacob has done an epic job setting these up, now it's time for us to fly some :)  And remember, the end of month reports will show how many charters we've flown ;-)

Access the Charters via the Crew Portal, or directly here:  [SCX Charters]

Monthly reports

FSHub recently launched Airline Reports covering a wide range of statistics, and as was pointed out on the SCX discord; "It's a hobby for stats!"

The reports feature, though in it's infantcy gave us an interesting insight into our operations and something which we will try to do each month.

Unfortunately not long after this report was created the feature was taken down for furter development, hopefully it will be available again for the end of June's report!

Introducing the A-3 Skywarrior to the SCX Tactical Fleet

SCX Tactical doing a little training in the A-3 Skywarrior, beter known in Navy service as the 'Whale'.  The A-3 started life as a carrier-borne bomber, but later served as an electronic 'agressor' over electronic warefare ranges, as well as playing the bad-guy at exercises like Red Flag.  SCX Tactical intendes using the A-3 as a contract bad guy for Contract "Red Air'.

New contract for aircraft deliveries

SCX has secured a contract to deliver brand new ATR 72-600's for Air New Zealand, under Contract [SCX66]

The aircraft are to be picked up from the factory in Toulouse, and flown to Auckland in New Zealand.  The flight plan is in 10 legs from Europe through the Middle East and Asia before crossing Australia before the jump across the Tasman and arriving in Auckland.

A Multi-Leg achievement has been set up for the delivery flight on the SCX Crew Portal.

Southern Charter is persuing more ferry/delivery contracts, across all of our divisions. SCX Shipping is presently negotiating a deal to relocate Cruise Ships around the globe, news of that will be coming soon.
